Bogus collectors and theft

On-line Reporting Tool

This form is to enable us to gather reports of bogus collections whether they be criminals stealing legitimate collection sacks from outside peoples’ homes or fake companies and fake charities deceiving the public with collection materials that look like they are from a genuine charity.

We will collate the information and forward it to the police who will then be able to establish if there is a pattern to the criminality and help them to gather evidence for prosecutions.

Charity Retail Association members can download advice from the Crown Prosecution Service to police on the prosecution of bag theives on our members' area Resources page, and go to the Legal section.
