2019 Conference bursaries announced

We are delighted to announce that 12 bursary places have been awarded for our 2019 Charity Retail Conference, thanks to our partnership with Kudos Software. After a record amount of applications this year, we are pleased that Kudos agreed to increase their support from ten to 12 for 2019.

Our bursary scheme is intended to help smaller charities attend conference. It covers half the delegate fee at the Conference as a residential delegate, including session attendance, all meals and refreshments, the drinks reception and awards dinner, plus one night’s accommodation.

The following charities have been awarded bursaries: Age UK Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin; Age UK Worcester and District; Daisy Chain Project; Friends of Assisi Animal Sanctuary; Home-Start Wirral; Hospice of the Good Shepherd; National Star; RSPCA Cambridge; Rossendale Hospice; Shared Space; Tynedale Hospice at Home; Willow Foundation.

Kudos Software Commercial Director, Sarah Dodd, said: “We’re delighted to learn that the Bursary places have been so popular, bringing new charity retailers to the conference so they can learn more from industry experts.  Seeing a wide range of suppliers at the exhibition will hopefully inspire the delegates to try and test new initiatives in their shops too. We’re looking forward to meeting all 12 at the Kudos stand during the conference.”

Charity Retail Association Chief Executive, Robin Osterley, said: “We are extremely grateful to Kudos Software for once again supporting our members with smaller retail chains to ensure that the conference is inclusive to all. The bursary places enable a wealth of knowledge and expertise to be shared at conference.”
