A major briefing on retail crime, 11 December, London
The threat to retailers from crime is increasing with concerning levels of violence and abuse aimed towards shop workers and volunteers being seen on a daily basis. To target the criminals committing these offences there have been a number of initiatives developed that are being delivered through a public / private sector partnership between policing, the retail sector (including the Charity Retail Association) and the security industry.
If you want to hear more about this, and develop activities specifically aimed towards charity retailers, there will be a briefing on 11 December, from 4pm – 6pm at The Shard in London.
At this event you will hear from the leads for the National Retail Crime Strategic Delivery Plan which brings partners together to enable collaborative activities, and the national policing lead for the operational work of ‘Pegasus’ (developed to combat organised retail crime). You will also be provided with an opportunity to engage in a pilot intelligence sharing initiative led by the Charity Retail Association.
If this is something you would like to attend, please respond to Kevin.williamson@mitie.com before 15 November.
