This week is “Book Week Scotland 2019“, an annual event aimed at helping more Scots to discover the joy or reading books. This is a celebration of the authors, poets, playwrights, storytellers and illustrators who grasp the imagination of young and old. It is the perfect time to consider a fun and affordable way to fill your book shelves.
To mark the big week, our Public Affairs and Communications Officer for Scotland (Rachel Blair, pictured right) visited the Shelter bookshop in Stockbridge, Edinburgh to learn more about how they provide local people with a sustainable source of great reading material, whatever their tastes.
She wrote blog about her trip – and the wider Book Week campaign – for the local website Edinburgh Reporter.
