CRA board appoints new chair: Emma Peake

Emma Peake, the Deputy CEO of the Air Ambulance Service, has been appointed to Chair the Charity Retail Association’s (CRA) board. She has taken up the mantle from Anne Webb, who has come to the end of her term as Chair.

Emma has been a long-standing member of CRA’s board, and is looking forward to her new role.

Emma said: “I am honoured and delighted to be elected as Chair of the Charity Retail Association.

“There is no doubt this year has been the most challenging ever faced by the sector but I’m confident that we can continue to show strong leadership and direction as we look to a post pandemic future for charity retailers.

“I would also like to pay tribute to the outgoing chair Anne Webb for her tireless efforts over the past three years.”

Robin Osterley, Chief Executive of the CRA, said: “We are very lucky to have such an outstanding retailer as Emma take over this crucial position for the sector. We wish her every success as she begins this role at an unusually difficult time for the charity retail sector, but have every confidence that she will continue to steer the organisation through this difficult period.

“We would also like to thank Anne for her hard work over the last few years, and for her strong positive and proactive leadership throughout the pandemic this year. We wish her all the best for the future.”
