This is an exciting opportunity where you will be responsible for the maximisation of sales and profit of Sense Shops within the West Midlands, Worcestershire, Staffordshire and Cheshire East. You will do this by developing and promoting the area, including opening new shops and updating operational systems and management practices.
As our Area Manager, you will line manage Shop Managers, Assistant Shop Managers and Shop Assistants. You will lead in the effective generation and control of stock within the area to ensure each shop achieves its full sales potential. In addition to this, you will play a leading part in the setting of realistic yearly area budgets.
A full UK driving licence and use of your own vehicle is an essential requirement for this role.
It would be fantastic if you have project and multi-site retail experience. However, it is essential that you have experience of managing budgets and accounts within a commercial or charity retail environment. You will already have good communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively lead teams of staff and volunteers.
Sense is a national disability charity that supports people with complex communication needs to be understood, connected and valued.
Sense has a proven record of offering high quality, pioneering services.
Working at Sense can be incredibly rewarding; we offer the opportunity to work in a large, diverse and successful charity where people can develop their skills, knowledge and careers in a supportive and flexible environment. In addition, we have excellent training and development, the opportunity for you to join our Group Personal Pension scheme and a generous annual leave entitlement.
