We are currently seeking a Book Department Manager to join our flagship store in central Worcester. The post holder will have particular responsibility for the operation of the first floor book department. In addition, he/she will assist the store manager in the overall day to day management of the entire store, deputising for absence. Duties will include supervising volunteers and assisting with recruitment and training, stock movement, record keeping, merchandising and banking.
The successful candidate will have knowledge of the retail trade, in particular second hand book sales. Previous experience within the charity sector environment would be an advantage.
