Your key focus will be on buying: sourcing, selecting, developing and introducing products that our customers will love – whether they’re browsing in our charity shops or online. On top of that, you’ll work with the broader retail team to implement our new strategy, build strong relationships with external suppliers, manage the look and feel of our web presence and collaborate with the marketing and communications team to drive the sales strategy and manage Barnardo’s brand online. You will also oversee all aspects of Barnardo’s online trading. Knowledge of an online shop is preferential but not essential as training and support will be provided.
This is an opportunity for you to shape this new role and make it your own. So a self-motivated approach, bags of initiative and the ability to take ownership of this area are all essential. High levels of commercial awareness and first-rate communication and negotiation skills are also important, while experience gained in a retail environment would be welcomed
