Job description:
The Charity Retail Association is the membership body for UK charity retailers and our members run over 9,000 charity shops.

We are looking for a highly motivated and proficient freelance data entry operator to update an ever growing database of charity shops, namely, ‘Find a Shop’, containing c. 11,000 individual charity shop records. The outcome of this project will play an essential part in connecting shoppers, donors and
volunteers with their local charity shops.

Key responsibilities:
– Contact charity retailers via email/phone call and/or access their websites to gather information about their charity shops (including shop locations, contact details and types of shops)
– Data entry into Excel spreadsheets to review and update our ‘Find a Shop’ database (c. 11,000 individual charity shop records)

Skills required to complete this project:
– Database administration/data entry experience. (essential)
– Experience and excellent understanding of using Excel. (essential)
– Strong IT skills. (essential)
– Strong organisational skills. (essential)
– Excellent eye for detail and ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision. (essential)

The above responsibilities are not intended to be comprehensive and the contractor will be expected to fulfil
other tasks in relation to the update of our ‘Find a Shop’ database at the request of the Head of Research.

Project timeline:
– The project completion deadline is before or no later than 17 December 2022.
– You will be paid as approved milestones are reached and the Charity Retail Association approves the work, which is payable by invoice. This is an £8,000 fixed-price project.
