Job Description
When a child is diagnosed with cancer life becomes full of fear, for them and their family. Fear of treatment, but also of families being torn apart, overwhelming money worries, of having nowhere to turn, no one to talk to.

The role
We require an enthusiastic Deputy Manager to assist the Manager in the day to day running of our shop. Duties include overseeing the running of a busy retail outlet ensuring that stock is sorted, processed and merchandised throughout the week in a timely manner. Recruiting and maintaining a large Team of Volunteers and assuming full management responsibilities in the absence of the Shop Manager.
Young Lives vs Cancer is open to and in support of flexible working. We are currently defining our approach to hybrid working. Your flexibility requirements and that of the role will be discussed at interview stage with you.
This role falls under the site-based category. This role is site based at our Newton Abbott shop.

About you
The successful candidate will have good communication skills and the ability to work flexibly. The position offered is for 21 hours per week to include Saturdays. Retail Supervisory experience is preferred together with basic IT skills however full training will be given to the right candidate.
