Weldmar Hospice is looking to recruit an experienced Retail Professional as Director of Retail Operations, reporting to the Chief Executive.
The post holder will ideally have a relevant specialist or business management qualification, substantial knowledge and expertise within retail management, including branding, merchandising and stock management ideally within the not-for-profit sector, understanding stock sourcing, pricing, legal and regulatory requirements, goodwill and link to organisational brand.
This post has ultimate responsibility for the development and implementation of a long-term retail and income generation strategy, ensuring sustained growth and profitability, including the development of the on-line provision. The Director of Retail Operations will lead, plan and manage all aspects of the retail operations, working with and through three Retail Area Managers across 20 Shops and 6 Outlets to achieve an annual budget, currently set at £3.4 million 2018/19 supported by 70 staff & over 350 volunteers.

All of this care is provided completely free of charge and is mainly funded by the continued support of our local community via our fundraising events and activities, chain of retail sites and legacies, raising over £6M each and every year.
