Job description:

Main Responsibilities

  • Drive sales performance to exceed targets, maximising cost efficiency
  • Support development of the retail strategy.
  • Identify develop and deliver collaborative partnerships to drive new income streams
  • Work collaboratively with other departments and the retail estate to ensure the delivery of the eBay budget.
  • Maximise eBay profits through delivery of the retail strategy, such as Income, Gift Aid conversion, listing targets and other income generators.

Team Leadership

  • Lead and manage eBay staff and volunteers to deliver maximum performance
  • Coach staff and volunteers to provide consistent, high quality customer service using best practice training and awareness techniques.
  • Ongoing high quality communication, training and coaching of staff and volunteers in stock selection, merchandising, and pricing.

Day to Day Operations

  • Manage day to day eBay operational issues effectively, delegating tasks as appropriate.
  • Participate in staff and volunteer recruitment process as required
  • Develop effective communications between eBay Team and shops

Projects and Policies

  • Manage and deliver change projects as required.
  • Liaise with Central Services teams to ensure compliance of legal and regulatory standards such as health and safety, Gift Aid.
  • Identify new business opportunities and develop them as they arise.

 Any Other duties

  • Deputise as Head of Retail as and when is required.
  • This is not an exhaustive list of duties and the post holder will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by the changing role within the organisation and the overall business objectives of the organisation, as deemed reasonable and requested by the post holder’s line manager or CEO.
  • The post will be subject to regular annual appraisal and review as part of the Personal Development Plan.
