Mary’s Meals is a fast-growing international charity, currently providing over 1,230,171 hungry and impoverished children in 14 developing countries with a daily school meal.
Responsibility for supporting the development and implementation of the strategic management of retail and material aid for Mary’s Meals and to review our shops and material aid, building on the success of our seven charity shops. You will lead and motivate a team of shop managers, warehouse staff and volunteers to support a strategy for growth and produce a regular and significant income stream to support the charity. To review and make recommendations for sourcing potentially suitable locations and building our retail presence that supports increased sales potentials and improve awareness of our brand and of our vision and mission as well as adding a social value to the local community.
The review will include developing a holistic approach to our material aid campaigns that includes the seamless integration with shops and to the benefit of our supporters, donors and beneficiaries of our backpacks.
- Support and implement a retail strategy setting shop objectives and maximising on sales and profitability
- Provide your teams with a stimulating and supportive environment, which maintains and increases our standards of customer service and increases awareness of our brand.
- Sourcing potentially suitable sites and building business cases to grow the number of shops that will support increased awareness and add a social value to the communities we serve
- Review sales and profitability throughout shops and consider ways to increase sales and footfall in our shops
