East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) supports families and cares for children and young people with life threatening conditions across Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk.
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our Retail team. Reporting directly to the Head of Retail, the Retail Area Manager post will have responsibility for a minimum of 15 shops in the Cambridge & North West region.
With responsibility for leading a team of shop managers in the delivery of sales & profit budgets for EACH retail, you’ll be used to delivering exceptional levels of retail performance through outstanding retailing standards and initiatives. You will also be involved in supporting the development and delivery of the retail strategy.
You will manage an expanding retail portfolio and will want to develop a framework for success across a regionally spread set of shops. Your day to day responsibilities will include monitoring performance, ensuring adequate staffing levels and identifying and following through with the implementation of continuous improvements.
As an inspirational leader, you will lead and motivate a committed team of shop managers and provide direction and support to enable your team to be successful and to fulfil their potential.
You will also contribute to developing a culture of shared experience and expertise across the retail operation as well as demonstrate commercial initiative to increase sales, Gift Aid, donations and volunteer numbers.
Our ideal candidate will have a good understanding of charity retail and experience of volunteer management, along with a track record of managing a high performing team delivering financial goals, with a desire to quickly engage and motivate your teams.
