Are you commercially minded person with experience of area retail management? Are you passionate about the prospect of maximising area sales and profits in our Charity Shops through effective management of people, resources and budgets?
YMCA England and Wales is part of the oldest and largest youth charity in the world. It supports and represents 112 YMCAs in England, giving them a national voice and advocating for the needs of the most vulnerable young people in England. In addition, we run approx. 90 charity shops throughout England and Wales to raise funds for our work.
Our Retail Directorate is looking for an Area Manager to work in partnership with local YMCAs where shops exist in the area to promote the YMCA brand through the development of a portfolio of sustainable Charity Shops. They will also work to ensure messages about the vital work that YMCA does is promoted throughout all shops in their region.
The desired candidate should possess:
- Outstanding track record in achieving sales and profit targets within retail or charity management
- Demonstrable experience in analysing financial data to make informed commercial decisions
- Experience of distance managing a diverse team of people
- Excellence in forming working partnerships with other organisations
Location: Ideally based London Region
Days/Hours: 35 hours over a 7-day period
