We firmly believe a shop is a shop whether it is a charity shop or a high-end boutique. People want to find that something special and they want a warm welcome and good courteous service. Of course if you shop in a charity shop you also want to bag a bargain and help a good cause to boot.
Reporting to our Head of Retail, you will cover 12-14 shops in your area, making sure they operate efficiently and safely and helping them maximise sales to achieve target. You will work with shop managers to ensure that the shop is well presented and welcoming, making the most of donated stock, and you will support staff recruitment and development, promote compliance with procedures and standards and provide management cover in store as required. You will also assist with identifying and opening new shops as those opportunities arise.
Ideally, you should be an experienced retail manager, with a passion for customer service, skilled in dealing with a wide range of people and their needs. Adaptable with good problem solving skills you will need to be motivated and positive, calm and creative. Previous experience of working in charity retail is an advantage.
A full clean driving licence is essential as there is significant travel across central and South West England.
Full time, permanent.
37.5 hours per week (may include Saturdays for holiday cover)
