Retail Manager

Job Description

We are recruiting for a Retail Manager to lead, supervise and work alongside Companions allocated to the retail team.

Sussex Emmaus is a charity dedicated to making a difference to the lives of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged people in society. We provide accommodation for 58 people, helping them out of homelessness and providing them with a place to feel safe and secure whilst supporting them to develop and thrive.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a friendly and dynamic Retail Manager to run our social enterprises in Portslade. As a great leader with wonderful people skills, you will drive team engagement whilst maximising sales opportunities through customer service and visual merchandising.

You will have previous managerial or supervisory skills to run the shop and inspire the team, in addition to leading, developing and empowering Companions and volunteers. We are looking for someone with a passion for working towards targets and a commitment to offering the best customer service, that has the drive and enthusiasm to support our mission.

So, if you have excellent communication skills, with a desire to train and support people with a variety of needs and have a positive, motivational attitude we would love to hear from you. You will be joining a friendly and enthusiastic team who are passionate about what they do. We would particularly welcome applications from candidates from a background of supporting adults who have faced multiple disadvantages into work, job coaching, mentoring and training.
