Job Description

Are you looking for the most interesting retail job on the high street?

Can you bring creativity, great communication skills, passion for helping our customers and your team, and deliver great sales results?

If so, then this is the role for you!

If you are truly customer service focused, thrive on a challenge, enjoy working with a diverse group of people and want to take responsibility for the success of your own shop, then our role at Rainbow’ flagship Loughborough shop could be perfect for you.

As well as managing the Loughborough shop you will play a vital role as second in command to the Head of Retail, providing valuable support to our network of shops throughout the East Midlands helping them to maximise income and ensuring policies and procedures are followed.
With a varied and ever-changing stock profile, you can enjoy the hands-on involvement of sorting, processing, displaying and selling donated items alongside our own range of Rainbows merchandise. You will take responsibility for the management of the shop, coming up with ideas for generating donated goods and increasing income. You will present a professional face of the charity on the high street, lead and develop a team of volunteers and use your initiative to maximise the income of the shop.

This role is perfect for someone looking to use their drive, passion for retail, initiative and management skills to raise vital funds for the East Midland’s only hospice for Children and Young People. Alongside a friendly and supportive place to work, Rainbows will offer you excellent professional training to ensure you achieve your potential within a successful and busy retail portfolio.

To be successful in this exciting and varied role you will have retail experience at a management level. You will have the relevant skills to exceed customer and donor expectations, and the drive to influence the continued success of this shop.

A driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential as you will be expected to travel to all our stores across the region.

Rainbows is a local East Midlands charity dedicated to providing family support and direct care for Children & Young People who have life-threatening and life-limiting conditions. Every year we need to raise funds to ensure we continue to make a difference and our retail shops are an important part of this.
