We are looking for the right person to become our Retail Support Officer, a role that plays a key part in the development of our income generation from retail activities, including finding new shop locations, dealing with commercial estate agents and solicitors, and setting up the shops, with all that entails.
Just as crucial is ensuring a sound infrastructure is firmly in place for our existing shops network – till systems set up properly, Gift Aid reclaims from HMRC, procedures, and delivering training for our staff and volunteers.
This role will be hospice-based for some of the time but also community-based within our charity shops to set up / deliver training and to provide cover for shop managers, on occasion, as requested by the Retail Development Manager.
We provide high quality care to our patients and their loved ones at a time of most need. You might think a hospice environment would be a sad and quiet place but it’s an organisation with a great culture and a dedicated team of staff and volunteers.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a track record of working in the retail sector and playing a key role in setting up new shops.
