Social Media Officer

Founded in 1833, the St Vincent de Paul Society (England & Wales) tackle poverty via our 10,000 strong members, community support projects, retail shops, social enterprise hubs and furniture recycling projects, as well as providing secure accommodation for those most in need.

We are currently responding to the cost of living crisis and are looking for a social media specialist to join our national communications team.

Main Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement our social media strategy to support the charity to grow its reach and engagement with target audiences
• Run our national social media channels (including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn) on a day-to-day basis
• Ensure all digital content is on brand and reflects the Society’s values, brand and ethos
• Develop, edit, and create multimedia content for digital channels
• Plan and deliver social media content for key campaigns and projects
• Oversee paid social media advertising budget
• Provide technical support to staff and members where needed

It is essential for the candidate to demonstrate the following –

• Extensive experience managing and developing social media channels
• Experience planning and writing engaging social media content
• Experience of planning and developing digital campaigns to support marketing, fundraising and advocacy objectives

Please be aware that this role will include frequent travel to our groups and support centres across England and Wales.
