Emmaus is a secular, worldwide, social enterprise movement that exists to fight poverty, homelessness and other forms of social exclusion. Emmaus Communities provide a home and work for previously homeless men and women who are called Companions.
Emmaus Leeds is a different kind of charity/social enterprise because the people we support are also part of the team that delivers our retail operation. We provide a home and meaningful work to 28 people who have experienced homelessness, offering them a stable home and an opportunity to find a long-term route out of homelessness.
We’re looking for someone who can provide support, to help us empower and enable Companions to move back into independent living.
You will need to be a good team player. You will need to be able to work effectively under pressure, whilst supporting a diverse group of people. Assisting in the day to day running of the Community you will provide structured and holistic support to Companions. You will have effective interpersonal skills as well as strong administration and time management skills, and the personal resilience to work with a challenging client group.

You will initially be working 9-5 Monday to Friday (37.5 hours) – this may change over time to cover Saturdays. We will be paying £18,159 per year plus a generous pension package and 25 days holiday.
