We are looking to recruit a Warehouse Assistants to support our busy Donations Centre. As part of the vibrant warehouse team you will support the shop management teams along with a team of loyal volunteers. You will assist in the day to day operation within the warehouse which includes sorting stock, including furniture, in preparation to go the shops and showroom. Working proactively using your initiative you will be expected to think on your feet.
This is an exciting opportunity to build and maintain relationships in the local community.
Ideally applicants will have excellent communication skills, customer service skills, some charity retail knowledge, together with experience of working in a warehouse and inventory control. A working knowledge of Gift Aid schemes and the ability to maximise Gift Aid opportunities would be an advantage.
This is a physically demanding role involving the sorting, lifting and moving of donated items. There will also be the occasion need to work with the collection delivery drivers in the moving of heavy items of furniture
Flexibility to work both week days and weekends is essential
