Disability Confident

We are proud to be a member of the Department of Work and Pensions‘ scheme, Disability Confident. This about creating an inclusive charity retail environment in which all staff and volunteers can fulfil their potential, irrespective of ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender, or disability.

The scheme’s aim is for companies to successfully employ and retain disabled people and those with health conditions. It was developed by employers and disabled people’s representatives to make it rigorous but easily accessible – particularly for smaller businesses.

Disability Confident is voluntary, and access to the guidance, self-assessments and resources is completely free.
