A guest blog from Fairport Containers:
Fairport established its Charity, Textile and Recycling Banks Division in 2014 and is now a corporate member of the Charity Retail Association, further demonstrating our commitment to the industry. With our expertise in mind, Fairport were asked to present at the Association’s Stock and Recycling Group meeting. To demonstrate the individual problems our charity customers face when trying to maintain their banks and manage their donations.
Recent years have seen a rise in rogue banks causing real charities to lose out on vital donations. Fairport is able to remove unauthorised and rogue banks from any site, following the relevant notice period given and with the land owner’s permission.
The charity industry has seen an increase of donation theft and vandalism. These problems have proved difficult to overcome and as such Fairport have a number of anti-theft security features;
High roll security chutes: Deters individuals from fishing donations back through the chute.
Recess locks: Helps to reduce access to locks including combination and bolt locks. Will deter thieves in trying to pick or cut off the locks.
Recommended – High security rated, four and five-digit combination locks: With more than 10,000 combinations, there are no keys to lose and can re-coded if necessary. The locks are made to resist the toughest of attacks and work reliably in the harshest of environments.
