Gone for Good goes from strength to strength
Added functionality – available now!
From January we will be marketing “Easy Drop Off” (EDO) as an added feature of the Gone for Good app – read more here.
This signposts donors to their local charity shop aided by directions and prompted by calendar reminders.
The charity will receive advance notice of the donation, and will be provided with all the donor details and if they are willing to participate in Gift Aid. Our database will also guide them to the correct shop for the type of goods they are looking to deliver saving the donor the potential frustration of being turned away or your teams the time of moving stock from shop to shop.
Obviously, threshold donations are great news for your shops as the acquisition costs are low. The features provided by EDO will ensure that donors, whilst sat at home, have the best possible chance of funding one of your shops and importantly, you knowing all about them, providing you with future contact potential.
We have been researching the simplest and fairest way to charge for this facility and the discussions we have held came to the conclusion that we will be charging a one off set-up fee to upgrade the database with opening hours, parking details etc, and then a maintenance / membership fee of £1 per shop per month.
As a current Charity Retail Association Member, we are delighted to waive the set-up fee, if you join before the end of 2018.
Other upgrades in 2019
In quarter one of 2019, we will be giving Gone for Good charities access to a live dashboard and reporting. We really hope this will give all our partners the information to make better use of the donor data, accept more donations and effectively deal with donation offers in a timely fashion.
Any thoughts, ideas and suggestions on future development and ideas are always welcome, in the meantime, if you would like to take advantage of the EDO upgrade in the Gone for Good functionality, simply drop me an email and I will be in touch.
