Guest blog: Join eBay for Charity’s Christmas Campaign

eBay’s Big Charity Sell

With the season of goodwill upon us, eBay for Charity is encouraging its millions of customers to support the causes they care about this Christmas, with eBay matching £5 for every £1 donated to charity through Community Giving, up to a total of £350,000.

Any eBay enrolled charity can benefit and by joining the campaign can raise awareness amongst supporters, encouraging them to fundraise for their favourite cause while selling on eBay. It’s so simple, all they need to do is click the box that says “Donate a portion to charity”, choose between 10-100% and get selling.

After a successful launch of eBay’s Big Charity Sell in May, we hope the Christmas spirit will spark even greater fundraising efforts this festive season. As we enter a crucial time in the fundraising calendar, we hope this campaign can lend a hand through what will be a very different Christmas period, supporting charities continue the invaluable work you do. To join eBay’s Big Charity Sell, please fill in this form by 20th November and a campaign pack will be shared with you and your teams.

Charity Connect: Lockdown Support Training

With this in mind, and as charity shops across the UK are forced to close their doors again, eBay is also launching a fresh round of training to help support charities during this difficult period.

Whether you are new to the platform or have been trading for a while, Charity Connect: Lockdown Support Training will cover  everything from getting started on site, to  future proofing your operation and encouraging supporters to sell for your charity For more information and to book a place on the course, please visit eBay’s Eventbrite page here.
