Members – you are invited to the launch of the Charity Retail Safeguarding Scheme (CRSS)

Thursday 20th February at Founders Hall, 1 Cloth Fair, Barbican, London, EC1A 7HT at 3:30pm – 5:30pm.

Please join us for some light refreshments to celebrate the launch of our new scheme in partnership with Barnardo’s. Speakers include our Chief Executive, Robin Osterley, and the Chief Executive of Barnardo’s, Javed Khan.

What is the CRSS?
It provides CRA members with the mechanism to set up a safeguarding licensing scheme for their shops, so that they can produce an official licence which can go on the shop wall to state that the shop conforms to a minimum set of safeguarding requirements.

The objectives of the scheme are:

  • To help ensure that a consistent and fit-for-purpose safeguarding methodology is available for every charity retailer
  • To offer an example of best practice
  • To enhance charity retail’s safeguarding credentials
  • To offer materials specifically created for the sector to assist charity retailers in their safeguarding

Please RSVP to julia@charityretail.org.uk before 14th February.
