New for 2024 – Head of Retail Strategy Day

We are excited to announce something new for 2024 – the Head of Retail Strategy Day.
A day full of learning and networking exclusively for Heads of Retail (or equivalent roles) to come together and hear more about strategic thinking for charity retail. We’re delighted to have three charity retail members on the programme to share their insight and expertise in this area; winner of our 2024 Leadership award Katie Stuart-Cox, Head of Retail at Helen & Douglas House will be sharing her insights; Cancer Research UK will be running a workshop on developing a strategic plan for charity retail and our final keynote will be delivered by Sarah Heaney, Head of Retail Central for the Salvation Army Trading Company, who were our 2024 Outstanding Charity Retail winners.
Keynote speakers
With over 17 years of experience in the charity sector, Katie is a seasoned professional dedicated to making a difference in the world. She spent many years working with the world’s largest humanitarian network, British Red Cross, and has enriched her journey by joining the hospice movement at Helen and Douglas House. Katie has held many regional roles which have seen her work and travel within Scotland, Northern Ireland, London and Switzerland.
Not just a charity sector veteran, but a true visionary! Katie founded a Scottish charity dedicated to promoting community development, offering recreational facilities and activities to uplift rural communities’ lives. Leading a board of 10 trustees, as Chair, she continues to drive positive change and inspire others to make a difference.
