We had a great Scotland Conference in Glasgow yesterday (Tuesday). Around 50 delegates heard fantastic presentations on wide range of subjects, from social media usage to volunteering.
I was particularly interested to hear some really interesting and innovative ideas from members about their approach to building community links. We also had the benefit of wise and authoritative words from Professor Leigh Sparks from the University of Stirling on the future of town centres.
All the sessions were really worthwhile, and it was lovely to see so many of our members. As usual, they were willing and keen to share stories, ideas and concerns with us and with one another.
It was a great event and well organised by Events Manager, Alex Angelakis, and Shona Ferrier, our Public Affairs and Membership Officer in Scotland.
