This week, 10-18 March is Pass it on Week, Scotland’s annual celebration of re-use: the aim of the week is to encourage everyone to join in, by passing on stuff they no longer use, so it can have a new life with someone else.
Donating to charities are a great way to pass on your unwanted items and by doing so you’re helping the charity raise valuable funds to help further their causes. Also by by diverting waste from landfill charity shops provide a huge environmental advantage.
Recycle for Scotland are calling on community groups, charities, local authorities, businesses, schools, colleges, universities and individuals to get involved and run some kind of re-use activity to get people passing on stuff they no longer use, so it can have a new life with someone else.
