We are delighted to be introducing another fantastic training course, delivered by MJ Plumridge (who also delivers the ‘Managing Shop Volunteers’ course for us).
This one day training course explores the key principles of attracting and recruiting appropriate volunteers for various charity shop roles you have. It is designed to cover volunteer motivations as well as barriers to volunteering and is aimed at retail staff who manage, supervise or co-ordinate volunteers. Whether you are new to working with volunteers or not, there is something here for everyone.
This course will help you to:
- Identify how and where to advertise for volunteers
- Devise attractive volunteer role descriptions
- Create an application process suitable for your organisation
- Ensure both parties get what they need from an interview
We are also able to offer a small number of bursary places on the two courses, reducing the ticket price to £60.00 + VAT. These places are aimed at charities who have 5 or fewer charity shops, to ensure we are providing training for both our largest and smallest members, and there is limited availability.
