Research programme 2020: Supporting the sector with learning and sharing

We are delighted to announce that Acopia Group are the sponsors of our 2020 research programme. We are grateful to them for their continued support for this vital function of the Charity Retail Association. Terry Gardner, Account Director, said:

“We are thrilled once again to be supporting the CRA in their research programme for 2020. Uncovering the all-important facts and figures to gain greater insight into the health of the sector is so valuable. We’re proud to play our part in enabling this.”

With fast fashion in the spotlight, the positive impact that charity shops have on landfill rates, recycling and re-purposing nationally could remain unreported if not for this vital research and the co-operation of all the charities involved.

Acopia Group, one of the CRA’s corporate members, also provides visual merchandising training.

“We’re also very proud of our programme of Visual Merchandising training which we have now delivered to over 200 charity delegates. For those visiting our head office, these have been completely free of charge. Charities such as Dogs Trust, Devon Air Ambulance, St Barnabas, Cancer Research Wales, Tenovus Cancer Care, to name a few, have benefited from this with us. Not only are these days perfect for learning real skills to take back and implement straight away, it’s also a great networking opportunity. There is lots of time to share and discuss ideas with other attending charities.”

Some of the great feedback we’ve received:

“Great overview on Visual Merchandising and really good practical advice to take away. Really good advice on my own store”, Ty Hafan

“I really enjoyed the session and can’t wait to inject some of the ideas in store”, Cancer Research

We are currently looking at our Visual Merchandising training programme for 2020 with dates soon to be released so watch this space!
