Research programme 2022: Supporting Research and Innovation in Charity Retail

07/01/2022 14:24

We are delighted to announce that Eproductive are the sponsors of our 2022 research programme. Director Nick Cowls explains why they decided to sponsor the programme:

“We believe research is crucial to the success of the charity retail sector and have invested over 15% of our annual revenue into R&D projects every year for the past decade.  The core team of Eproductive have worked in the Charity Retail sector for over 30 years, and pioneered retail gift aid back in 2006, now worth an estimated £100 million annually to the sector. We were the CRA’s official gift aid training partner in 2018 & 2019, and have produced on-line training videos and tests taken by over 40,000 staff and volunteers.

In the last two years we have been working hard to develop an app integrated to our clients’ gift aid donor databases.  It allows supporters to carry a digital version of their gift aid card, access local volunteer and shop information, arrange donor collections, see charity lottery results, and even browse recently donated items on a shop by shop basis. Last November we announced our first client to go live with the app, Priscilla Bacon Hospice, quickly followed by Severn Hospice in December. You can try out their app yourself by searching Severn Hospice on the App Store or Google Play for android phones.

We know from discussions with our clients that the CRA’s research provides them with helpful, practical information to develop their charity retail operations, and we are proud to sponsor the 2022 programme.”
