Shelter extends its Boutique by Shelter network with the opening of a new Greenwich store

South London shoppers are being invited to discover the delights of the new high-end pre-loved charity store when it opens its doors on 1 October 2025.

Boutique by Shelter Greenwich

Stocking a wide range of high-end and designer vintage and pre-loved clothes, jewellery and shoes, the boutique is in the town’s busy historic market and maritime district, close to the Cutty Sark.

Alongside two permanent members of staff, there will be ten volunteer roles up for grabs; offering local people a chance to share their skills and get involved with Shelter's fight for home.

The Nelson Road premises is the 17th Boutique by Shelter shop, and has been fully renovated to achieve their signature, elegant look and feel.

Launched in 2013, the initiative aims to add something different to the charity retail mix, establishing stand-alone stores in well-known London locations to take advantage of increased footfall and provide a showcase for stand-out donations and designer goods.

Speaking about the initiative, Ian Trotter, Assistant Director (Retail) at Shelter said:

Since launching in 2013, our Boutique by Shelter offering has been successful across the city.

We know that lots of our shoppers are looking to get their designer and high-end fashion fix while shopping more sustainably, and our Boutiques offer exactly that - a mix of amazing value, pre-loved items in a beautiful setting.

We’re always keen to expand into new locations and offer shoppers even more choice so we’re delighted to be launching in Greenwich.

The area has such an amazing history and we look forward to building on that legacy for a new generation of shoppers.
