This year the Charity Retail Conference will be a little different …
Well if I’m honest a lot different!
We’re in an exciting new venue, Yorkshire’s Harrogate Convention Centre, in the middle of one of the country’s most beautiful market towns.
We are moving away from student accommodation! Because of Harrogate’s variety, you can book what accommodation suits your charity best, with discounts in many cases.
And, instead of our Awards dinner we’ll have a marvellous Awards lunch on the Friday, to make even more of the fantastic facilities the Convention Centre offers.
But those significant changes won’t mean any difference to the huge range of informative and interesting sessions on offer, nor to the quality of the entertainment or opportunities to meet old friends and make new ones – historically the most important aspects of Conference. We’re so excited about having our second face to face conference since the pandemic, and are confident that this will be a restriction-free opportunity to get together, have fun and learn. We look forward to seeing you there!

We work in an impactful sector! Our #morethanashop campaign highlighted the many areas that charity retail fundamentally affects, such as your cause, the environment, communities and more. We have decided to focus on the impact of charity retail. We aim to impart knowledge and expertise for you to either begin an impact journey in one of our focus session streams or improve a journey already started channelling your impact to make positive change.
Steph Edusei, Chief Executive, St Oswald’s Hospice
Steph is a Non-Executive Director of the Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Director of the North East England Chamber of Commerce. Steph is a strong supporter of her local community as a Guide leader, school governor, and trustee with The Angelou Centre, a black-led women’s charity. She is a strong advocate for equality, diversity and inclusion, speaks publicly on racism and gender discrimination, is a coach and mentor and has created the Black All Year events and podcast. She was named Northern Power Women’s Transformational Leader in 2022.
