Job Description

RSPCA North Wiltshire and Newbury District is currently seeking a business minded, enthusiastic and highly motivated Retail Manager to lead the team at their fashion and furniture store in Marlborough.

Retailing with a difference – from creative working on the shop floor, to coordinating stock activity ‘behind the scenes’, no two days are the same!
Management experience is essential to the role

You will be self-motivated and passionate, with excellent leadership and retail management skills as well as the ability to work well under pressure and to meet targets. Previous experience as a retail store manager is essential.

Job Role

As the Charity Store Manager, you will oversee the smooth running the store, as well as effectively managing the team of volunteers. You will lead and develop the team, driving sales, maximising income, and provide a high standard of customer service.

Reporting to the Store Operations Manager, your role will also involve:

  • Growing donated income through proactive stock generation, optimum pricing, and store planning
  • Increasing Gift Aid sales conversions, new donor sign ups and repeat donations
  • Maintaining high levels of store presentation through merchandising and housekeeping
  • Recruiting, training, and retaining a team of shop volunteers
  • Cover other stores within the branch

About You

To join us as a Charity Store Manager, you will need:

  • A minimum of two years’ manager experience,
  • Previous experience of managing a team
  • Proficient IT skills
