The Charity Shop Gift Card x Prison Advice and Care Trust

The Charity Shop Gift Card are pleased to announce a new support sector partnership with the Prison Advice and Care Trust (PACT), as a way of providing their service users with the essential items available in charity shops.

PACT is a national charity that supports prisoners, people with convictions, and their children and families and that values the innate dignity and worth of every human being. PACT provides help to some of the 800,000+ families and 200,000+ children and young people affected by imprisonment every year.

Not just supporting people leaving prison, they provided welfare grants to around 300 people in 2022/23 that had friends of family members in prison to purchase a range of items from white goods to clothing.

The Charity Shop Gift Card will offer a sustainable alternative to the gift cards for supermarkets and high street retailers that have previously been given. Not only does this help keep funds in the charity sector,  it also allows for more choice of brands and styles and helps funds stretch further for families and individuals who are already struggling financially.
