Job Description

Exciting opportunity to make a real difference as Director of Retail at North London Hospice.

North London Hospice is committed to providing compassionate, free end of life care to those who live in Barnet, Enfield and Haringey, but none of that would be possible without the contribution of our 17 charity shops. We are now seeking a creative and experienced Director of Retail to shape our retail strategy and drive growth.

Playing a vital role in our Executive Team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing a new and ambitious retail strategy that delivers continued growth, innovation and a sustainable level of income. You will develop a customer experience which builds on our reputation as being at the heart of our community and will inspire and motivate our staff. You will lead the way in delivering best practice in the retail charity sector, ensuring appropriate resources, policies and practices are in place to deliver retail excellence.

With significant senior management retail experience across multiple sites within either a charity or the commercial sector, you will have previous change management and business transformation experience. Strengthening our shops and their connection to our communities, this is a really rewarding role that makes a significant difference to the hospice both financially and strategically.

• Management qualification or leadership development
• Ongoing professional and personal development

Desirable criteria

• Degree / Master’s educated in related topic

Contract

18 months (18 Month Fixed Term Contract (subject to negotiated renewal based on performance))

Hours

• Full time
• Flexible working

37.5 hours per week (Hybrid working with a minimum of 3 days in the office)
