At The Air Ambulance Service we think big and we challenge the norm in every aspect of our organisation. Whether it the launch of our two new state of the art Children’s Air Ambulance helicopters, our clinical excellence in our local services or our innovation across our retail portfolio we are enablers of change across the industry.
Within our retail division since opening our first shop in 2011 we have now grown to 56 outlets across the country which include boutiques, homeware stores and our two new concept Superstores. We pride ourselves on our high standards within store and maximising our people’s potential to generate as much revenue as possible for our Services.
We are looking to appoint a Head of Retail into our Senior Management team who will have the overarching responsibility of designing and delivering retail strategy for the Air Ambulance Service. Reporting into the Deputy CEO and managing a team of Regional and Area Managers you will provide the vision and direction for our 56 retail outlets driving sales, performance and innovation as the world of retail evolves and changes.
We believe in autonomy and empowering our colleagues to deliver so you will be an integral part in the decision making process for overall strategy, targets, new store acquisitions and the management of standards across the Portfolio. This will be achieved through inspirational leadership and effective coaching and mentoring of your teams.
We have multiple revenue streams within the Air Ambulance so you can expect to form close relationships with other functions such as Fundraising, Clinical Operations, Marketing and HR. Our collaborative teamwork makes is what has made us the success we are today.
A bit about you:
We would like you to be currently be excelling in leadership role within retail preferably in fashion or Charity. You may be at ‘Head of level’ within a smaller organisation or operating at Regional leadership level at the top of your game looking for the next step in your career. For us there is a huge focus on behaviours with the role and we are looking for someone that can inspire teams to maximise their potential. We thrive on creativity and we would like to be able to find innovative solutions to challenges and also increasing our revenue.
From a technical perspective you will be able to demonstrate how you have successfully implemented a retail strategy across multiple sites, set and delivered stretching targets and built successful relationships both internally externally. As part of the application there will be a couple of short questions to help you demonstrate this.
This is an incredible opportunity to part of a special Charity and be at the forefront of innovation in retail. The role will have a head office base at Daventry and there will be UK travel.
