Job Description

We are seeking a creative and experienced Head of Retail to join Longfield Community Hospices’ thriving multi-site charity retail business. In this exciting, busy and varied role you will be responsible for shaping our retail strategy and drive growth.

Playing a vital role in our Senior Leadership Team, you will be responsible for implementing a new and ambitious retail strategy that delivers continued growth, innovation and a sustainable level of income.

You will need to demonstrate an outstanding track record in achieving sales and profit targets within retail management, as well as significant senior retail management across multiple sites within a charity or commercial sector.

This is an exciting opportunity for those looking to take the next step in their retail management career and be part of a Senior Leadership Team. Equally if you are looking to take a step down from a more senior position, or to move across from the commercial sector to the charity world.

Longfield is a community hospice charity, in a beautiful setting near Stroud.  We believe that everyone touched by a life-limiting illness in Gloucestershire should benefit from free hospice care. We support people to live well after diagnosis through a range of day services for them and their loved ones and, when the time comes, we provide hospice at home care, enabling them to have the choice of dying in the comfort of their own home. We also provide support to their families and carers, including bereavement counselling.
